Stonegate Capital has appointed Peter Warnes as Chief Investment Officer.
Peter brings more than 30 years of global capital markets experience across institutional, family office and private wealth investment.
He built his career at JP Morgan Asset Management in London and Hong Kong and has also held other senior leadership positions including Head of Multi Asset Solutions (International) for Manulife Investment Management, and CIO and Interim CEO for BOS Wealth Management Malaysia. Peter has been based in London, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and the UAE, with prolonged periods spent in Boston and Singapore.
At Stonegate, Peter will lead the development of the firm’s investment capabilities across investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, due diligence and manager selection, across both public and private markets.
A key part of his mandate will be overseeing the integration of AI across Stonegate’s investment processes, ensuring it strengthens due diligence, analysis and decision-making while keeping human judgment, governance and accountability at the core.
Peter’s appointment reinforces Stonegate’s ambition to combine institutional investment discipline, entrepreneurial thinking and AI-native technology in building a different generation of family office.
